This policy explains what information Leaf Planning collects on this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We’ve tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

Leaf Planning’s licensed Georgia life insurance agents help people learn about and apply for small whole life insurance policies, often called burial insurance or final expense life insurance.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out our request-a-call form, we collect:

Your first name
Your phone number
Your email address, if you choose to give it
Who the coverage is for (you, or a parent or family member)
The age range of the person to be insured
The best time to call you
Your answer to the consent checkbox

We do not ask for health information, Social Security numbers or dates of birth on the form. If you decide to apply for a policy, your agent will ask for the information the insurance carrier needs during the call.

Information collected automatically with the form. When you submit the form, we also record:

The web page you submitted it from
Campaign tags in the page address (often called UTM parameters), which tell us which ad or link brought you to the site
The date and time you submitted it
Your IP address
The version of the form you saw

Information collected as you browse. Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools to understand how people use the site. See “Analytics and advertising” below.

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

Call or text you back about life insurance options, as you asked us to
Have a licensed agent answer your questions and, if you choose, help you apply with an insurance carrier
Keep a record of the consent you gave us to contact you, as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). That’s why we keep the timestamp, IP address and form version with your request.
Understand which pages, ads and links are helpful so we can improve the site
Meet our legal and regulatory obligations as licensed insurance agents

Analytics and advertising

We use these third-party tools:

Google Analytics 4, to see how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are read most)
Google Ads, to measure whether our ads lead to form requests
Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), to measure whether our ads lead to form requests

These tools use cookies and similar technology. They may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and how you reached our site. Google and Meta handle that information under their own privacy policies.

How to opt out:

Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Adjust your ad preferences in your Google account and in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, including the form.
Turn on your browser’s “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” setting. When we add analytics or advertising tools, we will honor a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sharing for advertising.

We share your information only with:

Licensed Leaf Planning agents, so they can call you back and help you
The insurance carrier you choose to apply with, if you decide to apply
Service providers that help us run the site and our business, such as our website host, form processor and customer records system. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Government or legal authorities, when the law requires it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it to lead buyers or other agencies.

Leaf Cremation

Leaf Planning is affiliated with Leaf Cremation of Georgia. We do not share your information with Leaf Cremation for marketing without your permission. You are never required to use Leaf Cremation’s services to buy a policy.

Calls, texts and how to stop them

When you submit the form, you agree that Leaf Planning may call or text you at the number you gave about life insurance options, including by automated technology. That consent is not a condition of buying anything.

To stop:

Texts: reply STOP to any text from us.
Calls: tell your agent you’d like to be added to our internal do-not-call list, or contact us using the details below.

We’ll honor your request promptly. Message and data rates may apply to texts.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and consent records for as long as we need them to help you and to meet our legal obligations. Consent records are generally kept for at least five years after our last contact with you, because TCPA claims can be brought years later. If you become a policyholder, records related to your application are kept as long as insurance regulations require. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on every page, access restricted to staff who need it and service providers that maintain their own security programs. No website or system can be made completely secure, so we can’t promise that information will never be accessed without permission. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we’ll notify you as Georgia law requires.

Children

This site is meant for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

Tell you what information we have about you
Correct information that’s wrong
Delete your information, unless we’re required to keep it (for example, consent records or policy application records)
Stop calling or texting you

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top of this page.
