Our agents

Life insurance is offered by Leaf Planning’s licensed Georgia life insurance agents. Every agent who calls you is a licensed Georgia life insurance producer. You can ask your agent for their name and National Producer Number (NPN) at any time, and we’ll gladly give it to you.

Who issues the policies

Life insurance policies are issued by third-party insurance carriers, not by Leaf Planning or Leaf Cremation. The carrier sets the price, decides whether to approve an application and pays claims. Your agent will tell you which carrier would issue your policy before you apply.

Coverage, rates and availability vary by age, health and carrier. Guaranteed-acceptance policies include a waiting period before the full benefit is payable.

How to check a license

You can confirm that any of our agents or any insurance carrier is licensed in Georgia through the Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire:

Our affiliation with Leaf Cremation

Leaf Planning is affiliated with Leaf Cremation of Georgia. [DESCRIBE OWNERSHIP RELATIONSHIP, e.g. “The two companies share common ownership.”]

You are never required to use Leaf Cremation’s services to purchase a policy. A policy’s benefit is paid to the beneficiary you choose, and your beneficiary can use any funeral home or cremation provider, anywhere. Buying a policy through Leaf Planning does not give you a discount, priority or any other special treatment at Leaf Cremation, and choosing Leaf Cremation does not require you to buy insurance from us.

We do not share your information with Leaf Cremation for marketing without your permission. See our Privacy Policy.

How we’re paid

Our agents are paid a commission by the insurance carrier when a policy is issued. You do not pay us a separate fee. The commission does not change your premium; the price for a given policy is set by the carrier and is the same whether or not you buy through us. Commission amounts can differ between carriers and products. You may ask us how we are paid for any policy we recommend.
