The Assist Program
You've planned the service. Let's plan the rest.
Pre-planning takes care of the cremation. Burial insurance takes care of the cost. The Assist Program takes care of everything around it — documents, beneficiaries and accounts in order now, and the paperwork handled when the time comes.

What we handle
Before a loss
- Locate and organize your will, trusts, power of attorney, deeds, titles and policies
- Confirm your beneficiary designations are current and correct
- Inventory accounts, pensions and benefits while you're the one answering the questions
- Show your family what will be required, so they aren't guessing later
After a loss
- Claim Social Security, VA, pension and life insurance benefits
- Close, retitle or transfer accounts, vehicles and real estate
- Place fraud alerts and stop the junk mail and solicitation calls
- Ongoing support until every item on the checklist is finished

Three steps
- 1
Get organized.
We sit down with you while you're able to make the decisions yourself: documents located, beneficiaries confirmed, accounts and benefits inventoried.
- 2
On file, together.
Your arrangements and your Assist Program file live together at Leaf, so nothing has to be reconstructed later.
- 3
When the time comes.
Your family is contacted by a dedicated Family Care Advisor and receives ongoing support until every task is complete.
What we help you manage
We help you organize and keep track of these. Advice about any of them comes from your attorney, accountant or financial adviser.

Who runs it
Dennis Breier, CEP®, CLTC®
Assist Program Director
Dennis leads the Assist Program. He sits down with families — in person in Acworth or by phone — to find out what exists, where it is, and what's missing, then builds the file your family will rely on later. When a will, trust or power of attorney needs to be done, he runs the planning conversation and coordinates with an independent Georgia-licensed attorney who prepares the documents. CEP® and CLTC® are professional designations, not law licenses.

Two halves of one promise
Burial insurance — a small whole life insurance policy that pays your family in days — answers “how will it be paid for?” The Assist Program answers “and who handles everything else?” Decide now so your family doesn't have to. You don't need one to use the other. About burial insurance →
